Wireless technology, i.e. the connection without wires or cables, is deeply marking our society and shaping our habits, to the point that it can be considered a distinctive feature of the contemporary epoch. In order to fully understand the technological and ethnographical scope of wireless, the Institute of Media and Journalism of USI and the Laboratory of Visual Culture of SUPSI have created the project "Decoding Wireless", thanks to the support of the Swiss National Science Foundation (http://decodingwireless.ch/). The objective of the installation on display at the Digital Day is to retrace in a simple way the history of wireless technologies, from Marconi to the advent of 5G. The timeline is "augmented": by pointing the mobile phone on some images, you can discover content invisible to the naked eye.
