New visualization devices have the potential to revolutionize the way we interact with the digital world in our daily lives. However, for this to happen, many computational challenges must be addressed in relation to optimal content creation. Graphics and image processing techniques, as well as an in-depth understanding of the capabilities of the human visual system, can be used to achieve the optimal performance of these new devices. We combine hardware, computing and visual perception to bring the way our eyes see the real world to high-quality visualization devices.
